Our Story & Mission

GoldenCare was founded in 2013 by a group of healthcare professionals and caregivers who saw the need for a different kind of elderly care home in Singapore — one that feels less like a facility and more like a second home. From the beginning, our aim has been to offer a living environment where seniors are treated with warmth, patience, and genuine respect.

Over the past twelve years, we have welcomed hundreds of residents and their families through our doors at 15 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9. What started as a small assisted living home has grown into a multi-programme care residence offering support for a range of needs, from independent daily living assistance to specialised memory care and post-hospital recovery.

Our philosophy centres on the belief that every person, regardless of age or ability, deserves to feel valued and seen. That means listening before acting, adapting routines to the individual, and keeping families closely involved in the care journey. We do not rush. We do not assume. We take the time to understand each person's history, preferences, and aspirations.

Singapore's elder care landscape has evolved significantly in recent years, and GoldenCare has evolved with it. We have invested in staff training, upgraded our living spaces, and expanded our programmes — always with the same founding intent: to provide care that we would want for our own parents and grandparents.

GoldenCare's approach to elder care is grounded in the understanding that ageing is a deeply personal experience. Each resident who comes to us brings a lifetime of memories, habits, and preferences — and we think it is important that those things are respected, not overwritten by institutional routines. Our staff are trained not only in clinical care techniques but also in listening, observing, and responding with empathy.

Located in the heart of Ang Mo Kio, our residence is accessible to families across Singapore. The neighbourhood is well-connected by public transport and surrounded by parks, hawker centres, and community facilities — all of which help create a sense of familiarity and belonging for our residents.

We work closely with external medical professionals, hospitals, and community organisations to deliver coordinated care. Whether a resident needs support with daily activities, help managing a cognitive condition, or a structured rehabilitation programme after a hospital stay, our team is prepared to step in with the right resources and the right attitude. The care we provide is not about doing things for people — it is about doing things with them, at their pace, in their way.
